The inhabitants of the hamlet had agreed to meet on Sunday at the Pierrelay lock for a day of relaxation.
Navigation on the canal, archery, pétanque, table tennis, wooden games, badminton… and the sun contributed to the success of this day organized by the Association of inhabitants of the hamlet of Pierrelay.
The aperitif offered by the association brought together around sixty people and around fifty continued around a meal taken from the bags.
A bike ride was offered to Plaimpied for families with a dozen participants as well as a mountain bike outing for the more seasoned with a 45 kilometer circuit.
“Thanks to the responsiveness of the municipality which cut the canal this week, the navigation was able to take place with two boats”, rejoiced Dominique Pasquet, president.
The association had organised, during the summer, a navigation on the canal, but, because of the too low level of the canal, the activity had to be interrupted three weeks before the end.
