Praises to Alperen Şengün from Stephen Silas

Houston Rockets, one of the teams of the American Basketball League (NBA), continues their preparations for the season.

Head Coach Stephen Silas gave an interview to Sam Amick of The Athletic in Houston, which aims to make it to the play-offs this year. Silas also touched upon the development of national basketball player Alperen Şengün.

Stating that Alperen is a great player, Stephen Silas said that the 20-year-old athlete somehow prepared a position for himself while he was holding the ball.

The 49-year-old coach, who stated that the moon-star athlete faced some problems last season, said that it took some time for Alperen to get used to the team and for the team to get used to Alperen.

Stating that the 20-year-old basketball player took his performance to the next level in the later part of the season, Silas said, “I believe we will see a much better Alperen this year” made the emphasis.

Indicating that he wanted to give Alperen Şengün more time in the new season, the American coach also underlined that the national basketball player should improve his defense.

Alperen Şengün, who played 72 matches in the 2021-2022 season, struggled with averages of 9 points 6 points, 5 points 5 rebounds and 2 points 6 assists per game.
