Benjamín Galarreta (-81 kg), Luciana Julca (-57 kg) and Mateo Cóndor (-60 kg) bathed in gold, while Iker Celis (-66 kg), Jorge Suárez (-81 kg) and Sebastián Benites (- 90 kg) reached the silver medals.

«Happy, happy for having given this medal to my country. I dedicate it to my Federation and my family. The Colombian judoka was a very strong rival, but I was preparing myself for this. I hope to give Peru more medals”, declared Luciana Julca.

María Martínez, president of the National Judo Sports Federation, highlighted the level of the Pan American Cup and the success of our athletes. “We are a benchmark in America and at a national level in organizing this type of event and we are pleased to live up to what many expect of us”, he claimed.
