Pavlovs will be the captain of the Latvian national team in the Davis Cup match against the Dominican Republic

The Latvian national team will play the Davis Cup match as hosts on September 16 and 17 at the “Lielupe” tennis center.

The Dominican Republic is in 53rd place in the ranking, while Latvia is four positions lower – in 57th place.

The captain of the national team will be Pavlovs, but the other players of the Latvian national team will be announced in the near future. Ernests Gulbis and Roberts Štrombach are also depicted in the advertising posters of the matches, so it is expected that they will be able to help the Latvian national team in these games.

“I am looking forward to these games with great interest and impatience. It is nice that the fans will also be able to watch the game in person. We are ready for these matches. The main thing is not to let our health down and the result will depend on ourselves. The goal is only one – to win. We don’t think about anything else on the court you can’t go,” Pavlov revealed in a conversation with LTS.

Other World Group 2 matches will include Uruguay and China, Lebanon and Monaco, Lithuania and Egypt, Thailand and Bolivia, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Slovenia and Estonia, Tunisia and Greece, El Salvador and Denmark, Poland and Indonesia, Bulgaria and DR Congo, Barbados and Ireland.
