A rich day for inaugurate a renewed Vulcania Park: Saturday 17 September the institutions, Agos representatives and local associations at 11:00 – At Piazza Aldo Moro, 4 – will cut the tape of the new “Agos Green & Smart Park “kicking off a series of sports activities and free ecological workshops that will animate the area until 18:00.
At 11:00 Federico Portuguesenew Extraordinary Commissioner of the Municipality of Catania; Laura GalimbertiLegal Affairs Director & Corporate Sustainability AGOS; Enzo Falzone, Deputy Vice President CONI Sicily and Delegate of the Province of Catania and the general Vincenzo Parrinello of the Sport City Foundation will be present to officially inaugurate the Park together with the partners who contributed to the realization.
From 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 17 September, many free events will animate the Agos Green & Smart Park in Vulcania, to which all citizens of Catania are invited to participate. It starts in the morning until 13:00 with the green lab “Become a Superhero and save your Planet” and the ecological walk edited by Plastic Free and with sports activities open to all ‘Let’s play basket on the new playground ‘and’ Let’s discover the Badminton’. In the afternoon from 15:00 the workshops resume ecological and the invitation to sport “A scuola di Volley“And” TheHockey for everyone ”, until 18:00. The Vulcania Park is therefore renewed with the planting of trees, an aggregative area with new urban seating and furnishings, the restored basketball court enriched with an artistic intervention by Sicilian street artists Gummy Gue. The works are nearing completion and will continue even after the inauguration with a program of constant maintenance and ‘smart’ development with QR CODE scattered throughout the park to tell the green through technology.
