The leader Gilberto García, president of the Judo Federation, highlighted the quality of the judokas who will seek the medals
The Cadet Pan American Cup and Junior world ranking, and the Senior Pan American Judo Open starts today at the pavilion of Handball del Parque del Este at 9:00 in the morning, with the participation of outstanding athletes.
The judokas of the junior category, in the different weights, will go up to the tatami in search of positioning themselves in the world ranking.
The preliminary fights will take place in the morning hours, while the finals will take place at 5:00 in the afternoon.
From 9:00 in the morning it will be the turn of the platoon of athletes from the cadet category, on Saturday and Sunday, the Open Senior category that will award points for the Pan American Games Chile 2023 and the Olympic event in Paris, France 2024.

Both events will be held with the support of the International Judo Federation (IJF) and the Pan American Judo Confederation (CPJ) in coordination with the Dominican Judo Federation (Fedojudo). 300 athletes from 25 countries will participate and see action in their respective categories.
In the Senior, 167 athletes will participate, while in the junior, a total of 60, and in the cadet, 59 judokas.
