Bremen – When it comes to the German national team, Niclas Füllkrug gets tight-lipped. “I don’t talk about myself,” the SV Werder Bremen attacker said several times when asked about a possible nomination. However, his five goals in six Bundesliga games to date ensure that the topic continues to simmer in the run-up to the World Cup (November 20th to December 18th). Clemens Fritz, Werder’s head of professional football, has now commented on the 29-year-old’s achievements to date – and has fueled speculation about Füllkrug a little more.
“We all want him to keep this form throughout the season,” said the 41-year-old. “He’s just a player who can bring another component into the game.
