NFL: The Cowboys inflict a 1st setback on the Giants

The Dallas Cowboys inflicted a first setback on the New York Giants by winning Monday night’s game 23-16.

CeeDee Lamb put on a show in the 4th quarter with one-handed catch from Cooper Rush in the end zone to break the tie.

Ezekiel Elliott tied the game earlier with a touchdown to make it 13-13.

Saquon Barkley is the only Giants player to score a major in the game on a 36-yard run.

It was the first loss for New York, which started the season with a victory against the Tennessee Titans before disposing of the Carolina Panthers the following week.

A victory was more than desired in the Cowboys camp. In a 19-3 loss to the Buccaneers, the Cowboys lost quarterback Dak Prescott.

Dallas showed some good things in Week 2, however, with a win over Super Bowl runners-up the Cincinnati Bengals. Prescott backup Cooper Rush did well with 19 completions, 235 yards and a touchdown pass.

The Cowboys therefore continue their success against the Giants in the last six seasons, with ten wins in eleven games.
