NFL: At 40, Jason Peters has some in store and joins the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have signed 40-year-old offensive lineman Jason Peters, the insider reports. NFL Network Ian Rapoport.

According to Rapoport, Peters will begin his journey in Dallas on the practice squad and work his way into training. Peters met with the Cowboys on Friday to work out contract details.

In the NFL since 2004, the Texas native therefore joins his childhood team after playing 15 games with the Chicago Bears last season.

During his career, he appeared twice in the Pro Bowl and he made his mark with the Philadelphia Eagles for 10 seasons. He began his career in the Buffalo Bills uniform.

Peters could help an offensive line badly affected by the injury of Tyron Smith, who won’t be back until December at best.
