new accusations of sexual abuse at the French Federation

Barely hours after a meeting between the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra and the leaders of the French Football Federation (FFF), which led to the launch of an audit at the FFF, new allegations have been made in the press against Noël Le Graët, the president of the authority, implicated by the online media Josimar for having remained silent on cases of sexual abuse within the Federation or at the National Center football at Clairefontaine.

« Forty years of silence is the title of the article on the Josimar website, which adds fuel to the fire that was already smoldering at the French Football Federation (FFF). On September 8, the magazine So Foot had published an investigation evoking, among other things, inappropriate messages from Noël Le Graët, the boss of the FFF, with regard to collaborators. Accusations to which the instance responded by bringing complaint for defamation against the monthly.

This time, Josimar specifically implicates French football personalities. In particular Angélique Roujas, former international, who became a trainer and was fired in 2013 from the National Football Center (CNF) Clairefontaine for having had sex with minors. But also Elisabeth Loisel.

The one who was coach of the French women’s team from 1997 to 2007 is accused, according to Josimar, by two former internationals, of having forced players to have sex with her in order to be retained by the Blues.

« When something happens, you shut up »

Facts of harassment or even sexual abuse far from being isolated, and of which the FFF was aware according to Josimar, without this being the subject of reports by the Federation to the political authorities. Former ministers or former sports advisers from the Élysée say they were never informed.

An official of the Federation, testifying anonymously in Josimar, summarizes the attitude of the FFF on these questions: “ When something happens, you shut up. That’s how it works. »

We hope that these revelations will make it possible to clean up this environment, as has been the case in other federations recently.
