Neuquén added the first golds in the Patagonian Integration Games

Neuquén achieved a total of 17 medals, two of them gold, on the second day of the 1st Patagonian Integration Games that will close today, Sunday, in Santa Rosa, La Pampa.

It is an experience that seeks to establish itself over time, as has been the case for decades with the Games of Araucanía and the Epade, both in their versions for conventional athletes and those with disabilities.

The highest award went to archery and adapted badminton. In archery, the young Oriana González Vargas in the female U-17 category was the first gold medal for Neuquén in these games with an accumulated 113 points.

In this discipline, Esteban Silva also won the bronze medal in the same category in the competition that included the low and recurve shot modalities that were played at the Butaló sports center.

In badminton at the Manuel Belgrano school, he also won the first gold medal for the Neuquén delegation of the JIPA in the Ruth Vicente adapted modality. And this Sunday the semis will play Eluney Altamirano and Luis Maldonado. Joaquín Contró was third in his group and could not enter the main draw. In conventional they will have medal chances, Zaida Garcés, Joaquín García, in the final instances that will be played this Sunday.

In the disciplines that had their premiere today there were also medals. At the Ciudad de Santa Rosa school, Olympic lifting, Victoria Wasilewski won the bronze medal in the category plus 64 who participated in the snatch and clean and jerk modalities, totaling 57 kilos in her best attempt for the two specialties.

The fight that the activity had in EPET No. 1, which competed in the modalities of freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, also achieved a podium.

The team led by Luis Cárdenas achieved four silver medals. Luka Vega won in the 65 kg category; Antonella Azócar, in 50 kg and Milagros Gorosito, in 60 kg., in free wrestling while in Greco-Roman wrestling Martín Jesús Moreno won, in 60 kg.

In combat sports, the successes continued in the Municipal stadium with taekwondo, where two silver medals were achieved through Emiliano Escobar, in less than 55 Kg. and Tobías Bisoki, in less than 63 Kg. While they achieved the bronze Axel Barra, in less than 73 Kg. and Sady Martínez, in less than 63 Kilos.

In table tennis at the Provincia de La Pampa school, men’s doubles Lucas Lagos and Diego Moreno won silver and Lucas Lagos won bronze in singles. Artistic gymnastics also had its premiere in the Estudiantes club, which won three medals. Two of them silver, with Joaquín Vélez in the individual category and the one achieved by teams made up of Vélez himself, Facundo Demetrio and Felipe Bruni D’Amico. The harvest was completed with the bronze of the women’s team made up of Fioerella Fulciniti, Agostina Sorroche and Martina Stagnaro.

Tennis, which also played in the Estudiantes club, will play the final with Río Negro after beating Chubut 4-1 with the team made up of Bruno Largacha, Ignacio Piñeiro, Agustina Di Lucente and Amina Fradkin.
