National Paralympic down Judo in Francavilla – Il Giornale di Chieti

“Three days of great sport in Francavilla, with the arrival of the Paralympic down judo national team, guests of Chiara Meucci’s CM Fight Academy”. This was announced by the President of the Municipal Council of Francavilla al Mare, Francesca Buttari, who has always promoted sport as a vehicle for messages that strengthen inclusion. “It will be three days of training and preparation and I am very proud that the Italian Paralympic Sports Federation has chosen Francavilla, the result of the great work I have been carrying out for many years as an athlete and in this organization – underlines the multiple champion of Judo and Francavillian pride, Chiara Meucci -. A very important retreat – he continues – because after 15 days we will leave for the World Cup in Portugal. I hope that many will come to see us and I take this opportunity to thank the Francavilla activities that sponsored the event and the support of the Municipal Administration, which I always feel close to ”. “Francavilla has an important tradition in terms of promoting Paralympic sport – concludes the President Francesca Buttari – and has the great fortune of being able to have among its fellow citizens the multiple national Judo champions of the Orizzonte Association, a reality from which the passion of Chiara to link her competence to sport for disability. It is absolutely in the intention of our Administration to continue to promote sport as a fundamental vehicle for inclusion and positive messages ”. The champions Birghi Mirko, Brunetto Giuseppe Danilo, Forte Andrea, Migliore Davide, Tomba Martina and Verregna Francesco will be present. The technical staff is made up of Paolo Baroncielli, Giosue Giglio and Chara Meucci. On the evening of Friday 9 September there will be a convivial moment, in which the athletes and the technical staff will meet the Municipal Administration with the presence of the Mayor, Luisa Russo, the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Sport, Wiliams Marinelli, and the Councilor for Social Policies, Leila Di Giulio.
