Nadal: “I have much more important things to attend to than tennis” | US Open

The Spanish Rafael Nadal He assured that he has “much more important things to attend to than tennis”, after the defeat in the round of 16 of the US Open versus american Frances Tiafoe.

“I need to go back (home). I need to fix things, life, so I don’t know when I’m going to come back. I’m going to try to be mentally ready. When I feel like I’m ready to compete again, I’ll be there“, he explained at a press conference.

On the verge of becoming a father, the Manacorí specified that “right now what I have to do is go back home, I have much more important things to attend to than tennis“, adding that “personal life always comes before professional life”.

His wife, Mery “Xisca” Perellóis pregnant and was admitted a few weeks ago to undergo an operation on medical recommendation.
