Rai Vloet exchanges the Kazakh league for the Russian league. The 27-year-old midfielder moves to FK Ural, which is last in the Russian competition after eight matches.
Vloet was discredited last year because he was involved in a fatal traffic accident on the A4. In November of 2021, the footballer was in a car with a friend that crashed into the back of another car. One of the occupants, a 4-year-old boy, died as a result of the collision.
The substantive hearing of the criminal case will take place in the autumn at the earliest. Vloet is suspected of causing a fatal accident. At a pro forma hearing, the Public Prosecution Service said that Vloet was driving the car at an irresponsibly high speed and under the influence of too much drink.
At the beginning of this year, Vloet was again included in the match selection of Heracles Almelo and that led to a lot of commotion. This is how some of the supporters moved. The supporters found it unacceptable that Vloet returned to the field so soon after the accident.
At the end of March, Vloet exchanged Heracles for FC Astana from Kazakhstan.
