Morelos will begin its participation in the men’s national basketball team – El Sol de Cuautla

Starting this Thursday, the activity will be launched within the National U14 category basketball tournamentwith the participation of 28 teams from the men’s branch from different parts of the country.

According to the Mexican National Basketball Sports Association and the ADEMEBA of the host state, a historical record of participation will be set since never in the history of organized basketball had there been so much participation in an event of this category.

Among those attending the national fair The representative of Morelos will also be present, who last week was also present at the National women’s branch of the same category that was held in the state of Coahuila.

In that tournament held in Saltillo, Morelos was placed 16th in the final table, among a total of 25 participating teams.

The championship was won by the representation from Nuevo León, who defeated Guanajuato in the final and the team from the State of Mexico placed third.

It is now the turn of the men’s branch in a tournament that will last until next Sunday, September 25.

The participating states are: Chiapas, Michoacan, New Leon, Sonora, Hot Waters, San Luis Potosí, Tlaxcala, Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Yucatan, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Guerrero, Jalisco, Edomex, Baja Northern California, Tabasco, CDMX, Quintana Roo, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, Baja Southern California, Nayarit, Coahuila, Queretaro, Morelos, Puebla and Pachuca.

The 28 participating squads were installed in seven groups of four each.

According to the draw, the Zapatista quintet was placed in group G where it will compete for the pass to the final round with the teams from Sinaloa, Chiapas and Querétaro.

Morelos will open its participation this Thursday facing the Sinaloa squad in a game scheduled at 2:00 p.m. in the adapted sports gym in Ciudad Juárez.

Their second match will be played on the same day at night against Chiapas at 9:30 p.m. on the court of the Josué Neri Santos Gym, the same place where the tournament’s opening ceremony took place on Wednesday.

And to close the group’s activity, on Friday they will play their last match against Querétaro at 9:30 am in the Bertha Chiu gym.

The two best teams in each group will qualify for the next knockout stage, which will be played starting this Friday afternoon.
