A day off, a whole day. Joy was written all over Maodo Lo’s face. The German players really deserved the unexpected free time with their gala performance against Greece. Germany is in the semi-finals of the European Basketball Championship, which was not necessarily to be expected: First the difficult preliminary round group in Cologne, with victories against Olympic silver medalist France, against secret favorite Lithuania, including 7000 basketball-mad fans from the Baltic States. European champions Slovenia were disenchanted shortly before the tournament in the World Cup qualifier.
