Malian players finished pineapples after being eliminated from the Basketball World Cup

The Mali women’s basketball team was eliminated from the World Cup taking place in Sydney, Australia, and the consequences were important after two players took fist bumps in the mixed zone.

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced Tuesday that it has opened an investigation into what happened.

The tension between the two erupted after the lost game against Serbia (81-68), which was the fourth consecutive in which they fell, and which also eliminated them from the competition.

In the middle of the mixed zone and with the media conducting interviews, the players Salimatou Kourouma and Kamite Elisabeth Dabou began to hit each other in front of everyone.

The journalists who were in the Olympic Park Sports Center, as well as the Serbian striker Sasa Cado, who was giving statements when she was interrupted by this event, could not believe what was happening.

FIBA announced that it will decide the disciplinary measures to be applied to both African players.
