Loire-Authion. The agricultural show Festi’agri takes place this weekend

Sunday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the farmers of the canton offer a day of entertainment, on a vast site located on the Jaille road in Brain-sur-l’Authion. The day will begin with a cantonal plowing competition. There will be a demonstration of hay harvesting with old and new equipment and old fashioned threshing.

Up to 2000 visitors

At 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., an equestrian show is scheduled, offered by the Écouflant pony club. In the afternoon, there will be plowing with old tractors and “obstacle” courses for elected officials and the general public in order to show the difficulties of circulating agricultural machinery in the face of security installations in the crossings of agglomerations. There will also be an archery range and various games for children. The award ceremony and the reception offered by the municipality will take place at 6 p.m. Throughout the day, the refreshment bar and fast or traditional food stands will be on offer.
