The Primus Classic has to miss a lot of toppers one week before the world championship. Mathieu van der Poel canceled at the last minute due to the bad weather. Nevertheless, this competition can still turn out with a strong field of participants on an interesting course. Follow who cycles the fastest from Brakel to Haacht.

  1. 5 pm 20. Does Groupama-FDJ have the best timing? The French formation is working hard to bring leader Arnaud Démare to Haacht in a seat. The backlog is negligible. .
  2. 17 hours 18. Fast boys De Lie and Philipsen release from the leading group, which continues to fight against the beer quay. Pedersen is the last survivor of the early flight. .
  3. 17h15. Vanmarcke leaves! The moth is in it. Just before the leading group is seized, Sep Vanmarcke chooses the harepath. The 2013 winner throws his cards on the table! .
  4. 17 hours 14. Timothy Claeys (Intermarché-Wanty) takes a good turn in the service of Kristoff. He sees the escapees driving. .
  5. 5 pm 12. There is one more slope on the course, but it is not much. The Hulstbergstraat will not be steeper than 5%. .
  6. 20″. Campenaerts (for De Lie) and Oldani (for Philipsen) will have to step up, because the peloton is getting closer again. And what is TotalEnergies’ plan? . 17 hours 08.
  7. 5 p.m. Team up front. Campenaerts and Van Wilder pick up. It looks like this group is going to fight for the win, because there is little understanding in the peloton. .
  8. 17 hours 03. Campenaerts now cooperates. That gap must then be closed. .
  9. 17 hours 01. Van Wilder struggles within a handful of seconds from the leading group. Campenaerts does not want to cooperate in his wheel and that frustrates the young man. .
  10. smeysberg. The men up front haven’t won a game yet. When there is some cooperation in what remains of the pack, things get exciting. . 4 p.m. 57.
  11. 4 p.m. 54. Have you seen the rest? The gap of the front runners seems to be growing. An attempt by Greg Van Avermaet (AG2R) and Gonzalo Serrano (Movistar) seems to come too late. After that, it stops. .
  12. 4 p.m. 52. Amalgamation. Leading group and pursuers meet. TotalEnergies has three trump cards there, Alpecin-Deceuninck two. .
  13. 16 hours 49. We have not just mentioned among the pursuers, but extremely dangerous: Dries Van Gestel (TotalEnergies) and especially Bryan Coquard (Cofidis). .
  14. 4 pm 47. An interesting group has emerged around De Lie. Philipsen has a diligent bodyguard with Oldani and Sep Vanmarcke (Israel – Premier Tech) and Anthony Turgis (TotalEnergies) have also joined. .
  15. 4 o’clock 45. Jakobsen parks. No wonder Quick-Step kept a low profile for most of the race. .
  16. Horenberg. The Lie puts another layer on top. Behind his broad back, they have to bite their teeth. . 4 p.m. 44.
  17. 4 pm 42. De Lie shows his class on the Bekestraat with some strong lumbar thrusts. A warning to the other remaining fast men, Philipsen reacts quickly. .
