Lil Nas X leans on the “1.25x speed” meme as he calls out the Star Walkin haters

Lil Nas X’s 2022 World Cup track, “Star Walkin ‘,” has received a fair amount of criticism from League fans. Nas X leaned on that and made fun of people who criticized his new song.

After the debut of Lil Nas X’s song for LoL Worlds 2022, “Star Walkin ‘”, the reception from both fans and content creators was certainly mixed.

He complains that the song is “too slowAnd it wasn’t enough hype to properly prepare fans for the 2022 World Cup.

Apparently Lil Nas X leaned on this critique to tease fans’ mixed response to the song.

the song of the worlds was faint, too slow and quiet

Lil Nas X takes Star Walkin criticism abreast

Shortly after the release of the 2022 World Cup song and animation, former Cloud9 coach Nick “LS” De Cesare took to Twitter and posted a tweet claiming that Star Walkin ‘is a much better song. when played at 1.25x speed.

GUYS JUST PUT THE #MONDI2022 1.25 SPEED SONG ON YOUTUBE AND SBONA. REAL. REAL.

— LS (@LSXYZ9) September 22, 2022

Some people agreed with LS’s version here, but the tweet quickly turned into a meme of its own. Some have used it to further criticize the song.

Instead of speeding up the song to hear it in a new way, some people are speeding it up just to do it be finished faster.

The guys put the Worlds Song at 2x speed, believe me. It still sucks but at least it’s faster

Lil Nas X is not blind to the widespread comments about his track, and he even pulled out a tweet mocking those who beat up his 2022 World Cup song.

The star who responds to criticism is not new, but the way he replied for fans, altering his song definitely makes fun of those who hate the anthem of the 2022 World Cup.

Lil Nas X responded by saying that people should listen to his song under bizarre and strangely specific circumstances to get a better experience from the track.

if you don’t like walking with the stars try listening to it at 1.25x speed, with an octave up, and the battery filtered, on a nintendo 3ds, at 3 am, while your parents are arguing in the background because things keep getting worse and you say it’s not your fault but you know it is and you

Undoubtedly, this isn’t a serious suggestion, but just a jab at the meme that went around letting League players know that it is keeping up with the talk around the song.

He was one of the main characters in the animation for this year’s 2022 World Cup music video and his song is the track that will mark the 2022 World Cup. The music video came shortly after the acquisition of Lil Nas as “President” by Riot Games.
