Labastide-Rouairoux. Integration day for 6th graders

Under a beautiful sun, the 6th grade students of the Vallée du Thoré college set off Monday morning for the Domaine du Thoré for the traditional integration day intended to get to know each other and create links within their group.

Previously, a breakfast was offered to them at the college, during which Maguy Dunon, nurse of the establishment, and Bastien Blanché, professor of SVT, gave them advice and recommendations concerning the importance of this first meal of the day and its composition.

At the Domaine du Thoré, where their main teachers Maryse Bors, mathematics teacher, and Sabrina Le Berre, French teacher, accompanied them, the morning was dedicated to group activities. Land’Art first of all, the college students created works with branches, leaves and other materials taken from nature; then wrote haikus, poems of Japanese origin of three lines using sensory language to capture an emotion or an image. They took their lunch outside, in the shade of the estate’s lime trees: a moment of relaxation encouraging exchanges between these 46 students who joined the college at the start of the school year. In the afternoon, their PE (physical education and sports) teachers, Franck Maurel and Franck Pesqué, organized team sports and a biathlon (archery and cross-country running) with them before returning. , on foot by the greenway, to the college at the end of this beautiful day.
