In changing weather conditions, with sunshine alternating with rain showers, Johannes Kristoffersons became the winner of the second day of the “Ferratum World RX of Rīga-Latvia” double stage in an eventful race on the Biķernieki circuit on Sunday, repeating Saturday’s success. This was the third victory for the Swedish athlete in the three stages.

“The team did a great job before the race because the car felt great from the first laps. The teammates did a great job going forward. The fact that there are three cars in the team is very useful. This allows you to try different settings, considering that all the machines are new. Of course, it is a great pleasure to win in the second stage of the season. We didn’t skimp on the progress, because we wanted to better understand the operation of the machine. Also, tire wear is no longer as pronounced as last year, however, we mounted two unused tires for the final. We didn’t have the fastest starts today, but we were able to make up for it with excellent speed on the track,” he did not hide his satisfaction with the completed race on the first day Johan Kristofferson’s.

Even though on Sunday, the Hansen brothers tried to beat Johan in the finals using a wild card strategy, this time they also failed and Johan, ahead of Kevin Hansen in a fierce battle, celebrated the victory for the second day in a row.

”The weather was very challenging this week, it changed all the time. It was important to adapt to them, but the main thing was that I managed to put in good lap times when I needed it the most. Since the machines have the same power units, it is important to work together within the team, as well as with teammates, engineers, especially in such weather. The audience gave extra energy. Riga will always be special to me because I won my first title here. It’s nice to be back here because the Latvian fans are very passionate. Many thanks to the viewers here in Riga. They supported me fantastically. 60 points in three stages sound like sweet music,” after the victory, he did not hide his joy at what he had accomplished Johan Kristofferson’swho has already won the Riga stage six times in total.

Also the team leader Tommy Christopherson was satisfied with the performance of his team drivers. ”It is a payment for the enormous work we have invested. We had to work hard to get all the wins and valuable points, but with perfect team work we have succeeded so far. Johan is riding at the highest level, Ole Christian Weiby is doing absolutely everything we expect from him and Gustav Bergström… I don’t know what to say anymore, but the fact that he is doing so well already is something incredible.”

After three stages, the leader is Johan Kristoffersson with 60 points, followed by Kevin Hansen (41) and Timmy Hansen (41). Meanwhile, Kristoffersson Motorsport is the leader in the team standings with 98 points, followed by Hansen World RX Team (82) and Construction Equipment Dealer Team (60).
