FC Barcelona will pay around 461,000 euros for the Manchester City player. So far, Pernille Harder has been the most expensive player in the world. She switched from VfL Wolfsburg to Chelsea in 2020 for around 350,000 euros.

Walsh was at ManCity for eight years, still had a year’s contract, and has now signed a three-year contract with the Catalans. She follows her England colleague Lucy Bronze, who also switched from City to Barça.

Walsh played a big part in England’s European Championship final victory over Germany. The hosts won 2-1 after extra time. Walsh had been named Player of the Match.

Man City had previously rejected several offers from Barcelona.
