Kagitspor Embargo on European Championship – Lord Bisek

KOCAELI (IGFA) –Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Kağıtspor, which trains the national teams’ indispensable athletes with its investments in its own athletes, has achieved unprecedented success in the European arena.

The national judo players of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Kağıtspor made their mark at the Youth Judo Championships held September 15-18 in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

Merve Azak and Sıla Ersin, the successful athletes of the national judo team, and Metropolitan Kağıtspor, who started with 48 kilograms, beat all their opponents and reached the final. With this result, for the first time in Turkish judo history, two female athletes faced each other in the final of the European Championship.

NO WINNER AND NO LOSE FINAL

Merve Azak won the gold medal in the final of the European Youth Judo Championships, where there was no winner or loser, while Sıla Ersin won the silver medal. With this result, our athletes brought unprecedented success to both the national judo team and Kocaeli.
