Junior Noboa delivers backpacks to children from leagues

The Office of the National Baseball Commissioner delivered some 300 backpacks to underprivileged children belonging to sports leagues from various sectors of this capital, in order to contribute to the most impoverished families, in the acquisition of the supplies that the infants will use. in the coming school year.

Junior NoboaNational Baseball Commissioner, has been immersed in recent days, together with several of the employees who work in the entity, in some of the most marginalized neighborhoods of Santo Domingo, extending a helping hand to groups of needy families so that their children have at least the basic supplies to attend their various educational centers.

The well-made backpacks contain pets, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners, among other tools.

Also to some of the baseball leagues, Noboa delivered sporting goods such as bats, balls, gloves, catching equipment, protective helmets, among others.

“We are proud to be able to extend a helping hand to several hundred low-income boys and girls and contribute with our contribution so that they, due to the lack of one or other supplies, stop attending their respective schools when the school year begins safely. formally on September 19,” he said.

He argued that this type of support largely represents the vision that the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, has had since he came to power in the sense that his officials should reach out to people in need.

“And we from our baseball office have been following and fulfilling that mission and it has given us the best results, since there are hundreds of people, who sincerely thank us for the gestures we make aimed at solving some small inconvenience” Noboa pointed out.

Among the neighborhoods, where the presence of the National Baseball Commissioner has arrived in recent days and whose children have benefited from sports and school supplies, are La Zurza, Cristo Rey, La Puya, Los Girasoles, among others.

In the coming days, children from other popular sectors will also receive their respective backpacks, according to Noboa.

Likewise, he thanked the collaboration that BanReservas has carried out, in the person of its administrator, Mr. Samuel Pereyra, so that a greater number of boys and girls have their properly equipped backpacks, as well as Eddy Medina, president of Opal Jeans.

For Azua, Baní and Jimani

He also stated that this Friday the tour will begin through some provinces in the south of the country, in a first phase it will include Azua, Baní, Barahona, San Juan and Jimaní, all with a large part of their municipalities.

“In these towns we plan to take about 200 backpacks for those children with limited resources in the southern part of the country,” said Noboa. Even in Elías Piña, already the Baseball Commissioner made a first visit, brought props and in the Municipality of Sabana Larga, in the next few days, the reconstruction of several areas in the baseball stadium will begin, such as the back stop, cyclone gates, among others.
