The Vice Minister of Sports, Cielo Veizaga, lamented that due to lack of information generated from the Judo Federation itself, the Government recently became aware of the athlete’s needs to be able to attend that international tournament, however, she emphasized that the precautions were taken quickly to correct these shortcomings and provide support to the national champion.
“We guarantee all the expenses, our national government guarantees these items that Alejandro Zamudio needs and we are going to cover everything he needs, the passage from Bolivia to Lima, Peru, the return and that he arrives calmly at the competition”, the authority said.

“Initially Alejandro Zamudio did not go to the Vice Ministry of Sports, he does not come so that we know what support he needs,” said the authority in time to ask the different federations or associations to hold training workshops so that athletes know the benefits provided by the program.
For his part, the Bolivian judoka acknowledged that he was unaware that the national government provided incentives to athletes for international competitions and promised a good performance in that competition.
“Thanks to the Government that is supporting me, we will now be able to attend the event and I will be able to stop worrying about expenses and be able to concentrate on the competition”, he added.
