The women of VfL Sindelfingen close the season in the 2nd Judo Bundesliga in third place. Due to a restructuring, they will still play in the 1st Bundesliga next year. The men lost there 4:10 against JC Rüsselsheim, but staying up in the league is certain.

In the 2nd Judo Bundesliga South for women, VfL Sindelfingen finished third. The jubilation is still great. In the 2023 season, the first and second leagues will be merged, which will allow the team to compete in the national upper house. “Although that wasn’t the intention, we’re looking forward to it because it’s a new challenge,” says coach Simon Kristen. “The aim will again be to bring many homegrown talents to the start and to involve some talents from the Olympic base. We complement that with the experienced fighters.”
