Italy’s baseball race at the Under 18 World Championships starts with a defeat, this year on stage in the United States, precisely in Florida. In the first meeting of the review (held in Sarasota) in fact the Azzurri had to surrender to Japan with the result of 6-0.
And match decided practically in the first two rounds. In fact, on the occasion of the opening round, the Asians immediately took the lead thanks to a sacrificial flight by Matsuo followed by Asano’s point, then definitively taking off in the second inning putting on the scoresheet another five points gained earlier thanks to a single by Asano on the left that sent Mitshuiro to target, then based on a ball by Fukimori and, subsequently, with a ball passed by Asano and the single on first base by Kuroda (who sends Akahori to stamp).
The rest of the dispute is more balancedcharacterized by a few significant jolts and with five innings ended with nothing but profoundly marked by two long interruptions due to adverse weather conditions.
