“The beginnings were not easy. The people around me teased me so much because of my height that I wished I was shorter, but the coaches eventually turned the obstacle into an advantage, which I benefited from,” recalls the top scorer of the Czech national football team, Jan Koller, the protagonist of the new documentary Jan Koller: The Story of an Ordinary Boy. “A lot of players have been crushed by fame. I try to remain myself, it still draws me to our village,” he says.
