Presenter and former biathlete Gabriela Soukalová (32) has had a terrifying experience, she got lost in the Alps. She had to spend the night at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level. The Italian website Milano Repubblica reported on the case.
It seemed that it would be an ordinary bicycle trip, but in the end it was Soukalová’s life. She got lost in the Alps and had to spend the night outside without her gear. Fortunately, rescuers found her the next day. The Italian website Milano Repubblica wrote about the case. Gábina Soukalová is on vacation with her friend Miloš Kadeřábek.
Soukalová’s first statement about a night in the Alps. They didn’t wander off with their partner, everything is different
According to Italian journalists, the dramatic situation occurred at Lake Cancano. Gabriela Soukalová later revealed to FTV Prima how the whole event took place. Everything was a little different.
“According to our information, Gabriela is fine, now she is gaining strength and absorbing everything she has been through. It’s not like she got lost and didn’t know where to go. Her path was blocked by a torn cliff, which made it impossible for her to continue along the planned route. Thanks to good equipment and a great physique, she managed everything in the end, she is simply a superwoman,” said Zuzana Brzáková, who was the first to connect with Gábina Soukalová, for the website Prima Zenya. Zuzana Brzáková and Gábina Soukalová are colleagues from Showtime magazine, Soukalová moderates it and Brzáková leads it.

“Today we made the ascent to 2,800 meters above sea level relatively quickly, in about an hour and thirty-seven minutes. Nice with sticks, in the lightest possible equipment. I took a change shirt, a bra and a headband. And my friend has tea mugs with him and he’s having his cup of tea. He knows how to live,” wrote a cheerful Soukalová on Instagram. But then apparently the drama started.
Soukalová was able to call for help
Gábina Soukalová finally managed to call for help. She should have indicated where he was. She also had to report that her cell phone battery was running low. However, the summoned mountain service and firefighters were initially unable to find the thirty-two-year-old athlete. Only on Thursday, according to the Italian media, someone heard a scream on the opposite slope of the mountain near Lake Livigno and alerted the rescuers. Thanks to this, it was possible to narrow down the search area and Soukalová was found on Thursday afternoon.
According to the website La Provincia di Sondrio, rescuers found the presenter with a cold, but she is fine. Some Italian sources say she was flown in by helicopter for treatment.
