France’s 23-man squad for the Nations League, with four players from the Bundesliga. Eintracht striker Randal Kolo Muani is there for the first time.

World champion France has announced its squad for the upcoming Nations League duels. There are a total of four players from the Bundesliga in the Les Bleus squad. Eintracht new signing Randal Kolo Muani can hope for his international debut.

In Nations League Group A, the world champion is quite behind. After four games, Les Bleus are bottom of the table with a meager two points. Before the duels with Austria and league leaders Denmark, the French are also worried about some injuries. Above all, the two superstars Karim Benzema and Paul Pogba are missing.

National coach Didier Deschamps announced his 23-man squad for the duels on September 22nd and 25th on Thursday afternoon. And had a big surprise ready: Eintracht new signing Randal Kolo Muani is in the squad for the first time.

After seven international matches for the U21s, the 23-year-old attacker can now hope for his debut for the A-Elf. Also new are Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana (23) and team-mate Benoît Badiashile (21), who can play in central defence.

But Kolo Muani is the most surprising newcomer. Following his free transfer from FC Nantes to Eintracht this summer, the striker has made ten appearances with two goals and five assists. His dynamism was particularly impressive.
