Foot PSG – Navas scares PSG, Galtier tries a bet

At odds with Naples, Paris Saint-Germain will finally keep Keylor Navas this season. This is not necessarily good news for coach Christophe Galtier, now faced with possible moods or the exploits of the Costa Rican goalkeeper.

As expected at the end of the transfer window, the Paris Saint Germain and Napoli failed to agree on Keylor Navas. The 35-year-old goalkeeper had validated a departure for Napoli, but none of the three parties concerned accepted the necessary financial effort. The Parisians will claim that this disagreement will allow them to rely on two high-level goalkeepers. But there is no doubt that Christophe Galtier would have done well without this situation. Indeed, the newspaper L’Equipe reveals an internal concern about possible tensions.

We remember that Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas had a hard time with the alternation set up by former coach Mauricio Pochettino last season. Since his appointment, the French coach has designated the Italian number 1. A hierarchy that Keylor Navas will surely find difficult to digest throughout the season, he who did not hide his moods under the orders of the Argentine. This is also the reason why the Costa Rican saw himself leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Game time for Navas

His departure would have allowed the club to install Sergio Rico as number 2, with the assurance of not exposing himself to new tensions. But following the aborted departure of Keylor Navas, we will have to be wary of the reaction of the new number 3. For his part, Christophe Galtier is already hoping to calm the Costa Rican by offering him a few matches during the season. An idea confirmed this Friday at a press conference. The problem is that the Parisian coach could find himself faced with a bad atmosphere and pressure from pro-Navas if the latter shone during his appearances. Or if Gianluigi Donnarumma had the bad idea to commit other dumplings.
