Ferrari will soon meet with Mick Schumacher to discuss his future in Formula 1. “Then we will take stock with him and also talk with Haas. Then we decide what is best for him,” says team boss Mattia Binotto.
Schumacher’s position in the royal class is faltering. The son of German racing legend Michael Schumacher is in his second season with the American Haas team, but the question is whether he will still have the seat next year. He is 15th in the championship with 12 points, 10 less than his teammate Kevin Magnussen.
Ferrari has a big say in the story as the supplier of the engines to Haas. Schumacher (23) also comes from the youth academy of the Italian racing stable. “At the beginning of the season we said that Mick should get better this year. In a few races we will sit down for the evaluation,” said Binotto.
