Svensson was particularly concerned about his team’s defensive performance. Five goals against the second division tenth were simply too much for the claims of the Palatinate. Marvin Wanitzek (2nd minute), Sebastian Jung (18th), Mikkel Kaufmann (35th), Florian Ballas (45th) and Kelvin Arase (74th) were all able to overcome the 05 defense. Delano Burgzorg (31st) and Dennis Kaygin (90th) only scored the consolation goal.

Before the difficult Bundesliga duels against Freiburg and Leipzig, Svensson was therefore not satisfied with his entire team. The only exception: striker Burgzorg was able to regain the favor of his coach after a disciplinary suspension.
