Does James Rodríguez already have a new team? Greece football awaits | THE UNIVERSAL

James Rodríguez would return to European football. The Colombian would be signed by Olympiacos, a Greek team led by the Spanish, Carlos Corberán.

The news was released by the journalist Fabrizio Romano, who explained that the player would present the medical exams today and that the agreement will be on loan with shared salary with Al Rayyan.

“James Rodríguez to Olympiacos, deal ready to be completed! I have been told that the Colombian star will fly to Greece today: doctor scheduled, there is a verbal agreement in place in the loan agreement”, said Romano.

If the loan was given, the 10th of the Colombian National Team would go from Al Rayyan to share a dressing room with the Brazilian Marcelo, a player with whom he shared his seasons at the Spanish Real Madrid.

Olympiacos has a cumulative 47 Greek championship titles. Rodríguez, in any case, will have until midnight on September 15 to sign his new agreement, since the transfer market in that European country will expire on that date.

The best option is for the coffee grower to arrive on loan, since his contract is still in force with Qatari Al Rayyan and whoever wants to break it must pay a clause of 4 million dollars. Al Rayyan would pay 60% of his salary and the European team the remaining 40%.

James Rodríguez, according to the Transfermark portal, has a market value of 13 million euros and between 2021/22 he has played 14 games with Al Rayyan. He accumulates 5 goals.
