The Territorial Cohesion delegate of the Cordoba Provincial CouncilJuan Díaz, has visited the town of La Guijarrosa, where he has been able to see the work carried out in the municipal sports centeraction that supposes a 2nd phase of this infrastructure and that is included in the Provincial Plan for Works and Services of Municipal Competence 2020-2023 and where nearly 400,000 euros have been invested.
As explained by Díaz, “with a total budget close to 400,000 euros, this pavilion aims to cover the needs raised by the City Council of La Guijarrosa.” He has continued that the facilities contemplate a futsal court that will occupy the greater length of the pavilion, at the same time that it allows to include three mini basketball lanesplaced crosswise and another series of tracks as baloncesto, tennis, balonmano or badminton.
“The capacity will be limited to approximately 150 seats and new gym rooms will be included within the infrastructure, in addition to offering the possibility of installing a cafeteria”, Díaz clarified.
The person in charge of Territorial Cohesion of the Diputación has made reference to the fact that «during the previous four-year period of the Program (2016-2019) the 1st phase of the project was executedwhich consisted in the execution of the foundations, pillars and concrete floors from the locker room and gym area.
According to Díaz, «this 2nd phase includes the execution of the main roof, the formation of the roof of the locker room area, the stands, part of the sanitation network and improvement of the terrain of the entire pavilionconsisting of several layers of gravel, and a last layer of pebbles for drainage, as well as the concrete floor of the main track, accesses and storage area».
The project and construction management have been carried out by the Architecture and Urban Planning Service (SAU) of the Córdoba Provincial Council, specifically by the Campiña Territorial Unit (Montilla Office). The work has been carried out by the company Construcciones Pavón SA.
ADAMUZ
On the other hand, the Territorial Cohesion delegate of the Provincial Council of the provincial institution has delivered to the mayor of Adamuz, Rafael Ángel Moreno, the works carried out by the provincial institution in the Municipal Sports Center and the public road to improve its accessibility.
This action is part of the Provincial Plan for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers and extraordinary actions in public infrastructures 2020-2021 and has had a budget total of 21.625 euros.
Díaz explained that “the object of the action has been the construction of a pedestrian itinerary that allows improving access to the Sports Center. With this work we respond to a demand from the City Council and make it easier for people with reduced mobility to enter.
“Access is through the gate located between the tracks and the pavilion by executing a rampvery necessary because the use has meant that access to the sports center is made through this area, “he said.
The work has been financed by the Córdoba Provincial Council under the Provincial Plan for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers and has been carried out by the company Promociones Moral Pareja SL. The project and construction management have been carried out by the Architecture and Urban Planning Service (SAU), specifically by the Alto Guadalquivir Territorial Unit (Montoro Office).
