Cuban goalkeeper Adrián Puentes leaves sports delegation in Mexico

The goalkeeper Cuban Adrian Bridges Perez left in the last hours a sports delegation that was in a training base in Mexico.

Puentes Pérez, 34 years old and a native of the province Holy SpiritHe was a gold medalist at the 2007 Pan American Games and was considered the most outstanding figure on the island in his sport.

Romero stressed that after the case of Adrián Puentes, There are 10 sports in which leaks have been registered in Cuba in recent monthsthis excluding the exodus of ballplayerswhich the journalist did not include in his list.

Those sports with leaks of athletes recorded on the island would be: kayaking, wrestling, boxing, karate, athletics, basketball, futsal, volleyball, badminton and archery.

Bridges has become “Athlete number 39 who leaves delegations or contracts during 2022”indicated the aforementioned source, who included in his payroll Alfredo Fadraga and Yosvani Ávalos, the two Cuban baseball players deported to Cuba after being arrested in Mexico shortly after they fled a sports concentration.

Born in 1988, Adrián Puentes Pérez joined the national team of his sport from the age of 18. In addition to the gold medal obtained at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2007, the athlete in 2008 won four bronze medals at the Grand Prix of Mexico.

In 2009 he was in the first phase of the World Cup based in the Dominican Republic and in the III ALBA Sports Games in which he won three golds, two silvers and a bronze medal.
