How many athletes will compete in badminton in Paris 2024?

What is badminton’s qualifying path for Paris 2024?

Qualification path for single events

A total of 70 athletes will qualify for singles events through the BWF “Road to Paris Ranking List”: 35 in men’s events and 35 in women’s events.

These quotas include continental representative posts. In each singles match, there will be at least two athletes from each of the five BWF continental confederations (continental representative seats), as long as the player is no more than 250th position (ranking between 1-250) in the Road to Paris Ranking List BWF of 30 April 2024.

Qualification path for doubles events

A total of 48 pairs will qualify for doubles events through the BWF ‘Road to Paris Ranking List’ as of April 30, 2024: 16 in the men’s event, 16 in the women’s event and 16 in the mixed event. In each doubles match there will be at least one couple from each of the five Continental Confederations BWF (continental representation).

Badminton format and calendar in Paris 2024

Badminton competitions will be held at the Gate of La Chapelle Arenalocated north of Paris, between July 27 and August 5.

Badminton: the athletes to watch in Paris 2024

The dates of badminton qualifiers for Paris 2024
