Cristiano Ronaldo seems to really hold on Manchester United. In the midst of the frenzy ahead of the transfer market closing, his name was added to the list of reserve players against Leicester City.
Throughout the summer Ronaldo’s future continued to be speculated. His contract at Manchester United will expire next year, but CR7 reportedly wants to move in order to play in the Champions League.
A number of clubs then successively associated with the Portuguese footballer. Italian club Napoli is the name that most recently emerged.
However, as the transfer window closes, there is no real movement around a potential move Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manager Manchester United Erik ten Hag had previously hinted that Ronaldo would stay at Old Trafford. At least until next January, when the winter transfer window opens.
Indication Cristiano Ronaldo defensively strengthened as he was on the team bus for the trip to Leicester. His name is now also on the list of the Red Devils line-up, although on the bench.
