Cori Gauff talks about two nice gestures from Nick Kyrgios that she will never forget.

Cori Gauff reveals she has had nothing but positive experiences with Nick Kyrgios and she thinks the Aussie is actually a nice person. Gauff, 18, was just 13 when Kyrgios agreed to train with her.

Gauff was impressed with Kyrgios’ gesture as it is something she will never forget. “Overall, I think he’s a nice person. Anyway, he always has been to me.

I remember my first moment on the court with him, he probably doesn’t remember, I was 13 at the Miami Open. He finished his training and played with me for 30 minutes,” Gauff said.

“It’s things like that that mark me. That’s why I feel like I can never hate him, he always greets me when he sees me”

Gauff recalls another nice gesture from Kyrgios.

When Gauff was 14, she spotted Kyrgios on a practice court with Frances Tiafoe.

After completing a two-hour practice session with Tiafoe, Kyrgios agreed to play with her again. Gauff greatly appreciated Kyrgios’ gesture.

“Again, when I was 14 at the Miami Open, he finished a two-hour practice. I think with Frances Tiafoe. I remember saying, ‘There’s no way he’s please play with me,” Gauff said.

“He had just given his all for two hours. But he actually stayed and played with me for another hour!” It’s no secret that Kyrgios hasn’t enjoyed the best reputation since joining the circuit.

But Gauff feels that he is actually a very likeable person. “It’s times like that that people don’t really see in him. So I think people paint him as a bad boy.

I feel like, at least from my experience with him, he’s not,” Gauff said. “I think in the end it helped me in the long run as a player. train with him.

He told me good things about my game. At that moment, I said to myself: “Nick Kyrgios thinks that I am a good player.
