In one of the most emotional duels of the day, the couple of Gonzalo Estrada and René Ruvalcaba had to work hard to beat Daniel Palomares and Gabriel Pérez in three sets in a duel corresponding to the 2022 Independence Tennis Tournament.
The activity continued on Saturday at the Club Britania tables with several matches in its different categories, but the most attractive game was the ProAm category in which Estrada and Ruvalcaba beat Palomares and Gabriel Pérez 6-3, 4- 6 and 7-6.
Other results that occurred yesterday were: Juan Carlos Esparza and Marco Maldonado beat Rodrigo and Rafael de Alba 6-2 and 6-2, and Arturo Falcón and Marcos Garavito beat Alejandro Frausto and Emilio Hidalgo 6-1 and 6- 3.
Jaime Venegas prevailed in three close sets against Eduardo Hernández with partials of 4-6, 6-4 and 7-6, respectively.
Within the men’s A category, Rodrigo Alba was better than Emmanuel Lara with a score of 6-2 and 6-4, while Simone Abbadins accounted for Andrés Torres with a score of 7-6 and 6-2.
José Orozco had to come from behind but beat Santiago Orozco with runs of 0-6, 6-0 and 7-6, while Adrián Bonilla beat Jorge Conchas 6-2 and 6-2.
And as regards the men’s D category, Eduardo Ortega had to use three sets to defeat Marco Mendoza with a margin of 6-7, 6-2 and 7-6, and Arturo Zermeño beat Mariano González 6-2 and 6-3.
Today the meetings will continue from 09:00 hours to conclude around 12:00 noon.
