Coni Trophy, the Tuscan baseball represented by the Pisa Towers

Great satisfaction for the La Cella club, protagonist of such a prestigious four days

The Pisa Towers of Franco Grappolini’s Baseball Cell represent the Tuscany region for the Baseball5 discipline at the Coni 2022 Trophy from 29 September to 2 October in Chianciano Terme.

There are over 3,100 athletes in the age group of 10-14 who, together with more than 800 technicians and companions, arrived in Tuscany representing 23 delegations (including those from the Italian communities of Canada and Switzerland) ready to compete in 41 disciplines of 35 National Sports Federations and 6 Associated Sports Disciplines.

The event created in collaboration with the CONI Sports Bodies aims to enhance the sporting activity, making children live the experience of the competition but getting them used to living it serenely, as a positive challenge, providing them with the tools for future goals, having fun and socializing with other young people who come from all regions of Italy.

The project is also an opportunity for the National Sports Federations to experiment with mixed teams and innovative game formulas.

For the discipline of Baseball5 la Tuscany will be represented by Pisa Towers La Cella with 5 girls: Lola Carelli, Delisa Gashi, Caterina Melideo, Adele Piccioli, Mirta Verità and 2 children: Lorenzo Chipa and Luca Aveni Tramazzi trained by Virgilio Perra and Franco Grappolini.
