Colombia National Team today: Andrés Llinás Millonarios on Néstor Lorenzo’s call | Colombia selection

Millonarios was the only club in the BetPlay League that put players, for the first official call of Néstor Lorenzo, in command of the Colombian National Team. Something that hasn’t happened in a long time.

The level of the blues, specifically Álvaro Montero and Andrés Llinás, caught the attention of the tricolor coach, who begins to make the new path, pointing to the 2026 World Cup.

The Bogotano, a prominent defender in Colombian soccer, spoke with the program El Vbar, from Caracol Radio, about his call to the Colombian National Team, moment in Millionaires and future goals.

Call from Néstor Lorenzo: we are training and the level of Millionaires is for several players to be taken into account in the National Team. It comes at a good time, it’s special. But with what happens in the club, the final and the first in the league is much more special.

Play Cup final or minutes with Selection and process in his career: I’ll take both. The two big dreams belong to one player, you can’t compare one with the other. I am privileged, I do what I love. I can say that it is my job, my passion, it does not feel so much and it is bearable.

I work with Néstor Lorenzo aiming at 2026: you have to try to play well, participate in the circuit. Winning the individual duels, the idea is that what we do in Millionaires, is a reflection in the National Team.

Surprise call: I hadn’t talked to anyone from the Federation, I found out when they gave the list.

Key in his career and projection to reach the National Team: passion and determination. Being a professional is not easy, you have to make sacrifices. It is a dream that came true, many people sacrificed themselves and did not fulfill it. That’s why I feel privileged, I sacrificed myself by choosing football over other things.

Memories at Olaya: I played with Millionaires, I had a booth there. I was with the team.

Chat with Gamero: he told me that we were going to represent Colombian soccer, the only two. We had to do the same, things were going to work out that way.

Absence in the Cup final: in Millonarios, as we say, it is good for the whole, not for individuals. It will be a good time to show it.

We train with the illusion of the title. It’s no secret to anyone that if we don’t win it, it will be a hard blow. We work with that, with the illusion to give it to the fans.
