Colombia National Team: Óscar Estupiñán confesses that his idol is Rodallega and not Falcao | Colombia selection

Óscar Estupiñán is the new one of the class in the Colombian National Team. And his prestige as an outstanding student was built at Hull City, in the second category in England, in which he is the top scorer with seven goals. No doubt, eyes will be on him in a team that went 7 games without scoring in the last failed World Cup campaign.

Although for him being with the leaders of the national team and having won the trust of Néstor Lorenzo are already dreams come true, his confession about the Colombian striker who influenced him the most and who he idolizes might not please Falcao very much.

Rodallega, in that early childhood of Estupiñán, was Falcao’s partner in attack in the national team that won the South American Sub 20 of the Coffee Region, in 2005.

And it was his countryman from Valle del Cauca who made him sign up for England: “he was always so excited because it was the best he could do after a whole week at school (watch the games). Now it’s a privilege to be playing in this country too” , he concluded.

Now you will share concentration with Falcao for the friendlies against Guatemala and Mexico in the United States, will you change your mind? Rodallega, in the distance, observes his pupil…
