In the second practice, the drivers traditionally devoted themselves to qualifying and racing simulations. The former were disturbed by the red flags that had to be displayed after Mick Schumacher stopped on track due to technical problems.
The fastest time was set by Carlos Sainz, who installed another component between the first and second practice and, together with Cunoda and Hamilton, he will start from the back of the field.
