Carlos Alcaraz trained for the first time as world No. 1

The new number one in world tennis, Carlos Alcaraz trained for the first time in Valencia, where he landed direct from New York to join the rest of the Spanish Davis Cup team after winning the US Open which raised him to the top of the ranking.

Together with Roberto Bautista, the young tennis player practiced on the court hours before Spain’s debut against Serbia in the Davis Cup final group stage.

During the half-hour training session, Alcaraz tried on and rallied with Bautista and, after a talk between the two along with the coach of the player from Castellón, Daniel Gimeno Traver, both left the track.

Alcaraz, who was accompanied by his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero, has been in Valencia for just over twenty-four hours and on the day of his arrival he took the opportunity to talk with the captain, Sergi Bruguera, about what state he is in and being with the rest of the team Spanish, Albert Ramos, Pedro Martínez and Marcel Granollers.
