With 38 people killed in traffic accidents during these four holidays, in addition to 395 arrested for driving while intoxicated, 146 for doing so under the influence of alcohol and 68 people for being under the influence of drugs, was the balance delivered by Carabineros during these eighteenth celebrations. After two years of pandemic and when sanitary measures allowed a greater capacity and more freedom to celebrate a new anniversary in Chile, the balance of deaths on the road is not very encouraging. This year there were 12 more people who lost their lives, compared to the same period in 2021.
