When Reus was carried off the field with his hands in front of his face after 31 minutes, Schalke ironically chanted “Goodbye”. The BVB fans defend themselves against the guest fans with a whistle concert.

The 48-time national player was called back to the DFB squad for the Nations League games against Hungary and in London after almost a year of abstinence by national coach Hansi Flick. After he had already missed the 2014 World Cup title and the 2016 European Championship due to injury, his last big tournament chance is now at least in great danger.
