“Between Bron and me, it goes up”

It doesn’t appear on his resume, and he hasn’t played a game with the franchise, but Pat Beverley wore the Heat jersey for one summer. Selected in 42nd position of the 2009 draft by the Lakers, he was transferred to the Heat against a second round of draft 2011 and cash the next day.

“Who was your mentor when you were a rookie?

– Bron. I’m not saying that because he’s there, it goes back between him and me. A lot of people don’t know that from our basketball past since, but yes LeBron. The first time I played against LeBron, I was in Greece. It was Olympiakos against Cleveland in the preseason. It was my first time playing against him and I was excited. »

At the end of August 2009, Miami decides not to keep it and it is cut. Released at the time of a 1st professional season in Ukraine, he signed in stride with Olympiakos, and played another year in Europe in Saint Petersburg before returning to the country, via a contract in Houston, in 2013.

And when asked what his all-time favorite pair of shoes is, he replies:

“The LeBron Soldier IVs. I played with my first year in Miami, and started wearing them again this summer. With a bit of luck, I would get some freebies from him this year…”
