NBA stars with their own supervisors at the EM
Many hands for a successful EM!
Normally a national team has its permanent staff of coaches and physios. The German team also has external help at the home tournament!
Own supervisors for the NBA stars!
► Dennis Schroeder (28/last Houston) has his athletic trainer Keith Thomas with him. He has been working with him since the beginning of his NBA career in 2013.
► Daniel Theis (30/Indiana) is being looked after by his private physio Simon Iden. He also helped him with his knee injury and made him fit for the tournament.
► Franz Wagner (21/Orlando) has received support from his NBA club Physio Sameer Mehta. Incidentally, his assistant coach in Orlando, Bret Brielmaier (36), is also the assistant coach of the German national team.
The personal supervisors are present at the training sessions. In games like the Victory against France they are not allowed in the dressing room.
